Circuit Design provides narrow band, low power radio modules for short-range applications
in the license free bands

Among the various uses of low power radio in the marketplace, applications using Circuit Design’s narrow band radio modules are very limited. 
This page helps you make the right selection. Please go through the following guide and make sure that Circuit Design’s radio modules fit your application both in specification and cost. 

If you are looking for wide band high-speed products
Circuit Design is not the right choice

The latest developments in low power radio devices tend to be for high data speed, wide band and short range. Most applications are high volume, consumer-market oriented. Bluetooth, Home RF, WALAN are typical technology standards for these applications. RF ICs and radio modules incorporating these standard RF ICs dominate the markets of their respective categories. Their typical features are summarized in the following table. If you need products in these categories, Circuit Design is not the choice. 
 

Wide band high speed products

Wide band products suffer interference easily due to their wide reception. 

 

If you are looking for narrow band, low speed products
Circuit Design is the right choice.

The scope of Circuit Design’s products is different from wide band, high-speed products.
Narrow band, low speed, long-range, battery powered portable applications is the field suited to Circuit Design’s products. The frequency range handled by Circuit Design is from the 400 MHz to 900 MHz band.

Low current consumption 10 mA – 50 mA
Both narrow and clean spectrum emission and good receiver selectivity is required to achieve reliable communication in areas with heavy radio noise. With the technology available now, it is only achievable in a discrete configuration with high stability crystals and narrow filtering devices (SAW, crystal and ceramic filters). This is the orientation of Circuit Design's products.
